BFs Bon Voyage Cake/ Box Cake Brownies.

So I used the fondant that I made on the cake I made for my BF's Bon Voyage party. And let me tell you it is NOT easy, especially in the summer. The fondant kept sticking to the wax paper and so I had to re-cut my pieces a MILLION times. All in all the fondant work for this cake and cupcakes took 6 hours! But I LOVE the outcome!

The cake originally ways going to also have a American flag on it, which I made but it didn't make it on to the cake. Not enough room and I didn't want to over load the suitcase.
I love the little kangaroo crossing signs! They're adorable and everything tasted so good, if I do say so myself! I love to bake but when it comes to cake I totally use a box mix. It's so easy and it tastes so good! For these cupcakes and cake I used and American themed funfetti, luckily the fourth is right around the corner so they had it in stores, but all funfetti is, is sprinkles, in a white cake, so you could just add sprinkles and then you have funfetti.

Another thing I LOVE to do with box cake mix is box cake mix brownies!

BOX CAKE BROWNIES (OR BLONDIES)

1/3 cup water
1 egg
3/4 cup chocolate chip, or nuts. or neither, or both.

1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees
2. mix up everything in a bowl until combined.
3. pour into a greased dish and cook 20-25 minutes.
4. to check for done-ness poke with a toothpick!

Today is a very rainy day, so that means I'm going to go dig out my glue gun! I also leave you with an adorable picture of Nola, looking out at the rain.
